Welcome to our latest installment of #WinephabetStreet brought to you by Dracaena Wines and Kitchen 330. In this series, Debbie Gioquindo and I work our way through the wine world one letter each month. We discuss the characteristics and history of the grape, as well as suggested wine pairings. So uncork, unscrew or saber that bottle and connect with us as we chat, laugh and drink wine all in a laid back atmosphere.
L is for Lugana
A small DOC in Italy based on Lake Garda. There are about 200 producers in the entire DOC, and they focus on one grape! The white grape Turbiana. We had the pleasure of having the brand ambassador for Lugana DOC as our guest host. Susannah Gold of Vigneto Communications shares her in depth knowledge of the DOC with us.

Unfortunately, my wine did not come in time for the episode, so I was unable to sip that night, but luckily, I have had the pleasure of tasting Lugana wines previously. Please read my two posts to hear more about these wonderful wines.

Interesting to read and listen about Lugana and the grape variety. Imagine that its very unique, however 200 wine producers is still a big amount, depending also from final product quality and area of production. Nice to see and learn a little bit about this region, wine and grape.
thank you for listening. 200 does sound like a lot, but the bottle production is very small. The quality is exceptional. I really have not had one that I did not enjoy.
