Cab Franc Day

When we were ready to release our inaugural vintage(2013) in 2015, I realized there was a wine holiday for pretty much every grape variety but there wasn’t one for our beloved Cabernet Franc. So I created one. I chose December 4th in honor of Cardinal Richelieu’s death. He is known as the father of Cabernet Franc as he carried vines from Bordeaux to the Loire Valley and planted them at the Abbey Bourgueil where they flourished.
