Today’s journey begins with a guided tour of the breathtaking Château de Chenonceau, affectionately known as the “Ladies’ Château.” Renowned for its graceful architecture spanning the River Cher, the château is closely associated with influential French women, including Catherine de’ Medici, whose vision helped shape its magnificent Renaissance gardens and enduring legacy.
Later, enjoy an exclusive visit to Château Montdomaine, where you’ll be welcomed by owners Fred and Louisa Plou. Fred’s family has been producing wine in the Loire Valley since 1508, making them one of the region’s oldest winemaking families. Hosted by renowned wine educator Cathy Henton, you’ll sample exceptional Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc from several Loire Valley appellations during a private tasting in one of the estate’s beautifully restored troglodyte cellars.
Following the tasting, savor a delicious three-course lunch in Fred and Louisa’s charming home, perfectly paired with wines from their organic estate. Time permitting, enjoy a guided tour of the winery and a stroll through the surrounding vineyards before returning to the hotel.

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide in the lobby as you depart for another day of discovering the beauty, history, and wines of the Loire Valley.
Begin the day with a guided tour of the magnificent Château de Villandry, the last of the great Renaissance châteaux built along the Loire River. Stroll through the elegant terraces, tree-lined pathways, and vibrant displays that have made this estate one of France’s most celebrated gardens.
